The 14 P’s covers 14 factors that are necessary in order to achieve fluency in a foreign language. They are Purpose, Preparation, Patience, Priority, Plan, Pace, Practical, Practice, Products, Pennies, Peace, Positivity, Personality, and Passion. The reader is encouraged to reflect and plan his/her foreign language learning journey.

Jameelah S. Muhammad is a Spanish teacher and advocate for foreign language learning. She has a Master’s degree from la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City, Mexico. She has written several works on raising children bilingually and the importance of speaking another language.
